 Today in class we took a test about the book we have been reading all week. Some of the questions were worded confusingly but overall it was good if you understood the article well and todays class was nice and calm. 

In todays class we finished our assignments from the story antojos and basically got to further understand the story and research some words and background. It was a quiet class and productive. I’m used to reading as a class so it was very different to read as a smaller group or individually

In class we got into groups and read a text about Julia alvarez antojos and it we were assigned an individual assignment where we all had different roles and assignments. The text was very different and interesting. Different from usual!

The video talks about how Latins are stereotyped so much, even by the foods they eat. She also talked about the cultural differences between Latinos and Hispanics. She also discusses the immigrant stereotype and talks about historical facts that disprove the stereotypes. Like how the U.S. took over the Mexican land and many Mexicans stayed and became U.S. citizens. She even  informed the viewers about how Donald Trump was racist and stereotyped, taco bowls, Hispanics and Mexicans. She encouraged many of the viewers to put themselves in a different perspective and to be respectful to the Latin culture. 🌮

 Today in class we presented projects of our Latin countries. I presented Chile, others presented, Venezuela and Dominican Republic. I learned a lot about my Latin country and other Latin countries and learned about how similar they are. Today was a very informal class and I plan to take a nap!

Absent!

 Today in class we got assigned which Latin countries we have to make presentations on and I got Chile. I researched some of their foods so far and am doing my blog post in class right now. It was an easy class, excited to learn more about Chile. Today I plan on making food and exercising! And yeah it will be a productive Tuesday🙏🏻 I will also work on my assignment. 

Today in class we learned the body paragraph format and how to cite evidence. It was very helpful. We also wrote half of a paragraph about anything we wanted to claim about the book fences by august wilson. Todays class was productive and I plan on eating some soup today!
